Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Chinese Voice Coach to help train next‑generation AI systems. This contract, fully remote role focuses on coaching Chinese pronunciation, evaluating speech samples, and delivering clear feedback to improve model performance.

You will work flexibly on your own schedule, with native or near‑native Chinese and at least B2 English. Prior AI experience is not required; domain knowledge matters. This position offers remote collaboration with our data-lab team.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Chinese.
• Minimum B2 level proficiency in English.
• Background in voice specialization, linguistics, phonetics, music/audio engineering, or related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio clips in Chinese and evaluate the nativeness and fluency of the speaker or model output.
• Assess pronunciation, intonation, and linguistic authenticity according to established guidelines.
• Document your assessments with clear, concise written feedback in English, noting key linguistic factors.
• Provide detailed justifications for each evaluation to ensure clarity and consistency in results.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to clarify requirements or address ambiguities in language content.
• Contribute insights to help improve AI model performance in Chinese language understanding and generation.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned audio review tasks, maintaining high standards of quality.
