Job summary

micro1 Inc. seeks a Chinese Voice Coach for a flexible, fully remote contract role. You will coach Chinese pronunciation, assess audio samples, and provide clear English feedback to help train AI systems.

Native or near-native Chinese and strong English communication are required. Responsibilities include listening to clips, evaluating fluency, documenting assessments, and collaborating with coordinators to resolve ambiguities.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Chinese (speaking and writing).
• English at least B2, strong written and verbal communication.
• Background in voice specialization, linguistics, phonetics, music/audio engineering, or related fields is preferred.
• Experience with audio analysis, transcription, or linguistic assessment is valued.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to articulate nuanced language differences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with clarity and accuracy.
• Familiarity with media, communications, or teaching is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Listen to Chinese audio clips and evaluate nativeness and fluency of speaker or model output.
• Assess pronunciation, intonation, and linguistic authenticity per guidelines.
• Document assessments with clear, concise feedback in English, noting key linguistic factors.
• Provide detailed justifications for each evaluation for clarity and consistency.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to clarify requirements or address ambiguities in content.
• Contribute insights to improve AI model performance in Chinese language understanding and generation.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of audio review tasks with high-quality standards.
