Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Chief Engineer to own end-to-end technical integrity across software, infrastructure, data, and security for a major program. This remote role enforces standards, lifecycle discipline, and enterprise architecture while aligning with contractual obligations and program requirements.

The incumbent will lead engineering, DevSecOps, and platform operations, drive modernization and reuse, and manage budgets and staffing to deliver mission-ready solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
12+ years of progressive engineering experience with leadership.
Experience in enterprise applications, CRM/ERP, and platform engineering.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce and Deltek Costpoint preferred.
Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, security and governance.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end engineering integrity of the program.
Lead application engineering, platform operations, and release management.
Drive platform modernization, automation, and debt reduction.
Ensure security, performance, and operational health across systems.
Manage budgets, licensing, vendors, and resources.
Guide staffing and workforce plans for the department.
