Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Principal DevOps Architect to provide technical leadership across enterprise DevOps, cloud architecture, containerization, software delivery, and automation.

This role will establish architecture and engineering best practices, guide complex technology initiatives, and partner with development, cloud, security, and operational teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions supporting enterprise and government programs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years enterprise IT experience preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms and software delivery leadership.
• Proven ability to architect secure, scalable solutions for government programs.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement DevOps and containerization best practices across the enterprise.
• Lead assessment of business needs and map to industry best practices.
• Mentor DevOps engineering team and promote excellence.
• Define, develop, and implement the configuration management system for the SDLC.
• Manage source code, branching, and CI/CD processes; mentor juniors.
• Collaborate with Cloud Services for deployments and upgrades.
• Develop automation scripts for build, deployment, and versioning.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in version control and CI systems.
• Work with developers, testers, and IT staff on automation and releases.
• Oversee large, complex projects and ensure service delivery excellence.
