GovCIO is seeking a Chief Solutions Architect to lead technical direction for a government IT modernization program. Remote work is available, with enterprise governance across teams and alignment to federal security requirements.

The role requires extensive experience in architecture and cloud strategies, including AWS, SecDevOps practices, and AI-enabled software development, to deliver scalable government solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field and AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in one or more architecture domains (e.g., business architecture, solutions architecture, application architecture).

Responsibilities

• Provide overall technical leadership and architectural governance for the maintenance and modernization program.
• Establish and maintain enterprise architecture standards and guide modernization to AWS cloud services.
• Review and approve major architectural decisions and oversee technical risk management.
• Ensure solutions comply with federal security requirements and agency architecture standards.
• Optimize for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
