Job summary

Gryphon Oakwood is seeking a Remote Chief Estimator to lead the estimating function for commercial electrical construction projects. This role requires hands-on McCormick Estimating Software experience and the ability to price complex commercial and multifamily projects from a home office in Georgia or Florida.

You will review drawings, develop takeoffs, build subcontractor pricing, identify risks, and collaborate with preconstruction and operations through the bid process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience using McCormick Estimating Software is essential.
• Proven success pricing complex commercial and multifamily electrical projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Based in Georgia or Florida.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Produce take-offs and develop competitive bid strategies.
• Build and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Identify risks, value engineering, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Partner with preconstruction and operations throughout the bid process.
• Support project handover following award.
