Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Remote Chemical Process Engineer to support global energy operations from a home office. You will analyze complex data, build simulation models, and recommend solutions to enhance production, reduce emissions, and ensure safety across assets.

The role requires 10+ years in chemical process engineering within oil & gas, refining, or petrochemicals, and strong skills in Aspen HYSYS/PRO/II/Aspen Plus.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of comprehensive chemical process engineering experience in energy.
• Expertise with process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, Aspen Plus).
• Experience in optimization, debottlenecking, and troubleshooting.
• Strong remote collaboration and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize chemical processes in energy sectors (refining, petrochemicals, gas processing).
• Develop and validate process simulation models using industry-standard software.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and emissions improvements.
• Provide remote technical support for process troubleshooting and debottlenecking.
• Conduct technical reviews of process designs and project proposals.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global project teams and operations staff via virtual channels.
• Ensure solutions align with safety, environmental and economic goals.
