Job summary

Mercor is seeking a PE-licensed chemical engineer to join a growing network of experts. You will review AI-generated chemical engineering content for accuracy, answer domain-specific questions, and help identify relevant reference material.

This is a flexible, remote, part-time engagement around 10 hours per week. You’ll collaborate with a small group of specialists across fields and share day-to-day workflows and standards used by practicing chemical engineers.

Qualifications

• PE license in the United States is required.
• 2+ years of professional chemical engineering experience across multiple areas (e.g., process design, process safety, plant operations).
• Familiarity with process safety standards (OSHA PSM, API) and process-simulation tools (Aspen, MATLAB).
• Experience writing process documentation, SOPs, or technical training material is a plus.
• Comfortable using everyday AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar).
• Based in the United States.
• Professional working English.
• Able to commit reliably to about 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate written content and AI-generated responses in chemical engineering for accuracy and quality.
• Answer questions and provide clear, well-reasoned feedback based on professional experience.
• Help identify useful reference material relevant to the field.
