Job summary

Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield seeks a Chart Procurement Analyst to coordinate medical records retrieval for risk adjustment initiatives, data analysis, and reporting. You will liaise with provider networks, internal teams, and vendors to streamline collection and sharing of records.

The role combines analytics, coding support, and process improvement, with work-from-home flexibility within Arkansas and a M-F schedule, occasional local provider office travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare management.
• In lieu of degree, five years’ health-related non-clerical experience.
• Minimum three years' analysis, research and/or medical coding experience.
• Minimum two years' medical record review experience.
• Knowledge of EMR systems or electronic data sources.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR preferred.
• Knowledge of Risk and Quality concepts related to Medicare Advantage/ ACA preferred.
• Visio or flowcharting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with sending medical records.
• Aids risk adjustment business analytics and/or medical coding training.
• Collaborates with internal departments, medical offices, and copy service vendors.
• Develops and maintains tools to assist with retrieval efforts.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Retrieves, analyzes, coordinates, monitors and reports medical records for chart retrieval.
