Job summary

SCS Railways is seeking a Change Managing Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial management for a section of the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. You will control costs, ensure contract compliance and manage compensation events across the project team.

The role requires NEC experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff within a large rail program.

Qualifications

• Extensive NEC contract experience, including compensation events and change.
• Strong background in commercial management and reporting.
• Experience on large-scale rail/infrastructure projects.
• MRICS and degree qualifications in quantity surveying are preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of compensation events and contractual change processes.
• Develop and evaluate quotations for compensation events.
• Maintain change records and reporting metrics.
• Collaborate with client and project teams to manage cost and risk.
