Job summary

Aperture Group is seeking a skilled software developer to join its in-house CET extension team. The role focuses on building features for Configura CET-based design tools and requires comfort with CM, C++, C#, and Emacs.

You’ll collaborate in a large Git-based codebase and participate in agile ceremonies while contributing to 3D and CAD-related tasks. Remote work is supported from the US with planned travel to Nashville, TN one week per quarter.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent software experience.
• Experience with an object-oriented language such as C++ or C# (or Configura CM).
• Hands-on Git or other version control experience.
• Willingness to learn CM and the Emacs editor.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, self-motivated and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance features in an existing CET extension using CM.
• Write and edit code in Emacs (no prior Emacs experience needed).
• Collaborate in a large, shared codebase with Git for version control.
• Manage your work in Jira and contribute to sprints, stand-ups, backlog grooming, code reviews and retros.
• Partner with developers, project managers and SMEs to turn requirements into working features.
• Write SQL queries and set up new tables as needed.
• Work in CAD software from time to time.
• Stay connected with the team through Teams and quarterly onsite weeks.
