Job summary

HRforGrowth is assisting a client in hiring a Remote Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) for a fully remote 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will abstract and manage complex oncology cases while maintaining exceptional data quality and accuracy.

Experience with bone marrow transplant (BMT), multiple facilities abstracts, and rare sites is preferred. Candidates must have a current CTR/ODS certification and at least 2 years of CTR experience, plus the ability to work independently from a remote

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent CTR experience.
• Current CTR/ODS certification with verified issue date.
• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience abstracting complex oncology cases.

Responsibilities

• Abstract oncology cases according to national standards.
• Code diagnoses, treatments, staging, and follow-up data.
• Handle complex cases including BMT and multi-facility abstracts.
• Maintain registry integrity and QA with targets >90% accuracy.
• Operate registry software and EMR systems effectively.
• Comply with CTR/ODS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with oncology teams and registry leadership.
