A leading healthcare organization seeks a qualified candidate to assist in cancer data management, ensuring compliance with health standards and supporting research initiatives. Responsibilities include abstracting clinical documentation and collaborating with healthcare professionals. Candidates should possess relevant experience and certification in cancer registry.
Provides basic cancer statistics and graphs, supporting research prevention and control initiatives in accordance with the Virginia Department of Health, the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer standards, and the organizational priorities of the University of Virginia Health System.

Position Compensation Range: $22.84 - $36.54 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required. Associate's Degree in Allied Health preferred.
Experience: 2 years' relevant experience preferred.
Licensure: Certified Tumor Registrar or Oncology Data Specialist through the National Cancer Registrar Association (NCRA) required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary position involving extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel to attend meetings and programs may be required.
