Job summary

Partner Company is seeking a Certified Procedural Coding Specialist to support outpatient healthcare coding in a fully remote role based in the United States. You will interpret clinical documentation, assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes, and ensure records support services provided.

The role requires strong coding knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage daily queues independently from a remote setting in an academic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Active or qualifying coding certification (CCA/CCS/CPC/RHIT/RHIA) required.
• Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 for outpatient encounters.
• Strong clinical terminology and the ability to interpret medical documentation.
• Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Ability to manage daily work queues independently in a remote setting.
• Two years of professional coding experience preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s in Health Information Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret health record documentation to identify diagnoses and procedures for outpatient encounters.
• Assess whether documentation supports assigned codes.
• Apply anatomy, physiology, and terminology to assign accurate codes.
• Maintain knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT and apply them consistently.
• Review data and enter charges in patient accounting systems for outpatient visits.
• Prioritize work queues to ensure daily review and processing.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity in coding and data entry.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
