Job summary

Aptive Resources seeks Certified Pharmacy Technicians to support the VA VISN 22 Clinical Contact Center. This 100% remote role handles inbound calls, processes prescription requests, and resolves medication inquiries with First Contact Resolution focus from a remote site near Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities include CPRS documentation, adherence to CCC protocols, and collaboration with pharmacists to resolve issues, while maintaining compliance and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• Active national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or ExCPT) and current status throughout employment.
• Graduate of an academic pharmacy technician training/educational program.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and typing.
• Able to sit/stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit patient requests for new prescriptions and renewals using CCC protocols.
• Answer calls from patients, physicians and staff; respond to inquiries via prescription profiles.
• Document interactions in CPRS when required.
• Handle questions about expired, deleted, or unavailable prescriptions; escalate to a pharmacist as needed.
• Verify patient identity before communicating health information.
• Meet national performance metrics for inbound call management and follow scripting.
