Parkland Health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist (CDIS) to analyze health records, apply ICD-10, CPT coding, and improve physician documentation. This 100% virtual role supports in-house patients and works across departments, with education for providers and coders.

Requirements include RN with 3+ years in acute care or HIM with 2+ years inpatient coding, CCDS or CDIP certification, strong communication, and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• RN with 3+ years in acute care (ICU/CCU/Surgery).
• HIM professional with 2+ years inpatient coding experience.
• RN/HIM with 2+ years in clinical documentation integrity.

Responsabilités

• Collaborates with clinicians and HIM staff to assign MS-DRGs/APR-DRGs for identified populations.
• Performs concurrent reviews and documents findings in 3M CDIS software.
• Identifies documentation gaps and communicates with physicians and staff to improve records.
• Develops query response physician reports and maintains confidentiality.
• Provides in-services to physicians and ancillary staff; role is 100% virtual.
