Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company seeks a Manager, Category Analytics to build trust with retailers and support sales teams in driving brand penetration and category growth across designated categories and JMS Brand activation.

You will act as the go-to category expert, delivering insights for retailer meetings and planning. In this role you will lead customer category management and internal analytics, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Insights, and HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry.
• 3+ years Category Management or Shopper Insights experience.
• Proven ability to build relationships with customers/retailers.
• Strong data analysis and storytelling capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and delivery of Customer specific Category Growth Drivers and content.
• Leads 4P solutions for assigned customers and categories, owning shelving and assortment and price/promo.
• Provides thought leadership to elevate Smucker's voice with retailers.
• Leads Category reviews, JBP, QBR meetings with customers and stakeholders.
• Influences retailer category strategies via data-driven recommendations.
• Builds customer-ready stories and visuals to enable selling conversations.
• Anchors planning in facts, tracks promo and innovation effectiveness.
• Collaborates with category advisor teams while partnering with sales.
• Understands competitive marketplace and communicates insights internally and externally.
