Job summary

RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty, is seeking an experienced Inside Broker to join our remote South Florida-based team and support the placement of commercial casualty business. The successful candidate will serve as a technical casualty resource, evaluating submissions, identifying exposures, marketing accounts, negotiating terms, and driving placements from submission through binding.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of wholesale brokerage, underwriting, or commercial casualty insurance experience.
• Strong knowledge of casualty coverages (GL, Excess/Umbrella, Products Liability).
• Experience marketing accounts and negotiating with underwriters and carrier partners.
• Ability to independently analyze risks and make sound placement recommendations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate casualty submissions to identify exposures and placement opportunities.
• Develop marketing strategies to secure coverage solutions.
• Determine carrier and market options based on risk and client needs.
• Prepare and market submissions with complete information.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage enhancements with carriers.
• Explain coverage options to retail brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage opportunities from submission to binding and issuance.
• Maintain documentation and timely communications with carriers and brokers.
• Assist with renewals and remarketing efforts.
