Job summary

Justrite Safety Group is seeking an experienced Cash Applications/Accounts Receivable professional to join our Finance team in Illinois. You will process high-volume payments, apply remittances, and reconcile accounts while supporting collections and month-end close.

The role emphasizes accuracy, ERP proficiency, and collaboration across Customer Service and Sales. We value urgency, independence, and a detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Cash Application, Accounts Receivable, or related accounting function.
• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of AR processes and customer payment methods.
• Ability to work independently and meet daily deadlines.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Possess a high sense of urgency and be detail oriented.
• Great energy and can-do attitude.
• Experience with large distributors such as Amazon, Grainger, and Home Depot plus.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume payments by identifying and posting daily funds from various sources.
• Review remittance advice and apply payments to invoices.
• Balance daily cash receipts against bank deposits to ensure accuracy.
• Resolve short-payments by researching discrepancies and coding variances.
• Track unapplied cash and reconcile customer accounts to open balances.
• Support AR collections and month-end close activities.
• Audit trail documentation and compliance with internal controls.
