Job summary

Osaic, a national insurance services firm, is seeking a Case Manager for Highland Capital Brokerage. This role may be remote or work from offices across the country as part of a collaborative team.

You will manage life, LTC and DI applications, coordinate with Agents, VP’s, and carriers, and ensure timely, accurate communications throughout the process. Strong underwriting knowledge and exceptional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of Brokerage New Business, General Agency, or Life Insurance company experience.
• Knowledge of medical and/or financial underwriting terminology is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review Life Applications for completeness and notify Agents/FA’s and VP's of missing forms or information needed.
• Verify that telephone/personal history interviews and inspection reports have been ordered.
• Review exam and non-medical requirements included with the application to determine risk class.
• Be proficient in financial underwriting for personal, estate planning and business insurance.
• Order medical records and communicate with carrier underwriters to determine necessity.
• Responsible for APS follow-up with vendors or doctors and managing expectations.
• Review APS records for completeness and determine additional records needed to obtain the offer.
• Reconcile pending requirements and requests with Agents and Sales VP.
• Order illustrations and verify riders and 1035X involvement.
• Prepare transmittals or cover letters to carriers.
• Respond to requests for applications; use Paper Clip for submissions.
• Navigate compliance and other nuances with institutional accounts.
• Be familiar with underwriting guidelines for foreign nationals and residency implications.
