Job summary

Ancora Education is seeking an Assistant Director of Career Services Online to supervise a small team of career advisors and ensure high-quality services that help students transition from graduates to employed professionals in their field. The role provides departmental leadership, vision, and goal setting, reporting to the Director of Career Services Online.

Requires an Associate Degree, 1+ year of management experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in a related field from an accredited institution; 2 years related experience.
• Minimum 1 year management experience.
• Knowledge of staffing/placement concepts, practices and procedures.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with diverse groups.
• Ability to lead and coach in an observation/coaching environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day leadership of Career Services Advising Team under their direction.
• In partnership with Academics, support and drive the PAC meetings and associated metrics.
• Supports the DCS to ensure compliance via regular auditing of processes and training facilitation.
• Collaborates with the education department to ensure Career Planning classes provide students with all elements for successful placement.
• Responsible for completing required exit paperwork in group settings and one-on-one sessions.
• Regularly conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with students.
• Ensure documentation in CampusVue of all correspondence between the career services department and a student/graduate.
• Assist in resume preparation and development with instructors and students.
• Other duties as assigned.
