Job summary

Centene Corporation seeks a Behavioral Health Care Manager to develop, assess, and facilitate complex care plans for members with mental health and substance use needs. The role emphasizes education for members and families and coordination with providers to ensure access to services.

Remote work is available within Missouri, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, and a Master’s degree in Behavioral Health or Social Work with 2–4 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree in Behavioral Health or Social Work or a Nursing degree with BH experience.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Licensed Masters Behavioral Health Professional (e.g., LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC) or RN depending on state contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops, assesses, and facilitates complex care management activities for mental/behavioral health needs.
• Evaluates member needs via phone or in-home visits and develops care/service plans.
• Coordinates between members, families, and care teams to ensure access to services.
• Monitors plans and outcomes, adjusting as needed based on clinical changes.
• Provides education to members and families on procedures and benefits.
• Provides feedback to leadership to improve care delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Performs other duties as assigned and ensures regulatory compliance.
