Job summary

IKS Health in the United States is seeking a Profee Cardiology Medical Coder with CPC certification and at least three years of professional fee cardiac coding experience. You will code clinic E&M, echocardiograms, Remote Monitoring, and EKGs using ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.

As a coding leader, you will review records, abstract data, and resolve ambiguities with physicians, while mentoring junior coders and maintaining current knowledge of coding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have CPC certification and 3+ years of professional fee cardiac coding experience.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and CPT coding principles.
• Experience with Epic or 3M 360 is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to code Echocardiograms, Remote Monitoring and EKGs; bonus for Obs/IP charts.
• Understands medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and coding guidelines.
• Must pass a coding proficiency test.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstracts information from records according to client guidelines.
• Solicits physician clarification for ambiguous documentation.
• Mentor/train new coders when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of Coding Clinic, CPT Assistant and Official Guidelines.
• Maintain professional communication and contribute to a positive company image.
