• Fluent in Cantonese and English with cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to assess regional and accent differences to communicate with LEP.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking for interpretation.
• Maintain neutrality and professionalism on sensitive topics.

Responsibilities

• Respond to video and audio interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Participate in online, video and audio training sessions.
• Deliver interpretation services via video and use a dedicated device to perform essential functions.
• Render concepts and meanings according to interpretation protocols, with accuracy.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and courtesy.
• Maintain professionalism and calm on calls, including emergency 911 contexts.
