Job summary

DLH Corporation is seeking a CANES SME (Engineering Technician IV) to join our team supporting TACNET modernization. You will transform fleet requirements into practical training materials, including CANES courseware, labs, and student guides, using structured design methodologies.

The role requires shipboard network expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to translate real-world system administration experience into effective training for Navy personnel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting Navy systems: TACNET, CANES, ISNS/COMPOSE, or other C4I systems.
• Associate's degree or formal electronics training required; or High School diploma/GED.
• Five (5) years of relevant experience if with Associate/technical training; seven (7) years if with High School diploma/GED.
• Ability to read and apply technical documentation to real-world systems or training content.
• DoD 8570/8140 cybersecurity qualification within nine months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review system updates to ensure curriculum aligns with CANES fleet baseline.
• Develop, update, and maintain CANES and C4I courseware, lesson plans, guides, and labs.
• Apply Instructional System Design to define requirements and objectives.
• Use Navy authoring tools to develop and manage curriculum.
• Ensure materials reflect real-world system administration and fleet standards.
• Support pilot courses and fleet training events.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and incorporate feedback.
