Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Part-Time Cancer Registrar to join the Cancer Registry team. This remote-friendly role focuses on case-finding, abstraction, tracking of diagnostic and treatment information, and lifetime follow-up in line with CoC and PCR requirements.

Based in Philadelphia but eligible to work remotely from anywhere in the United States, with onsite travel for trainings as needed. Requires ODS-C certification and ongoing education to maintain credentials.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 0-1 years cancer registry experience with 1 year abstraction experience as an ODS-C in hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform case-finding of cancer cases per ACoS/CoC and PCR requirements.
• Abstract cancer cases and ensure complete and accurate records.
• Track diagnostic and treatment information to ensure a complete abstract for lifetime patient follow-up.
• Perform lifetime follow-up of analytic cancer cases per CoC/PCR requirements.
• Submit weekly productivity reports and update the shared work-list daily.
