Penn Medicine is recruiting a Cancer Registrar to manage case-finding, abstraction, and follow-up for cancer cases while ensuring privacy and data integrity. The role supports the Cancer Registry team remotely with periodic onsite travel for trainings and meetings.

Applicants should have an active Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) credential and 0-1 years of registry experience, with a preference for an Associate’s degree and relevant education. Onsite travel may be required.

Formación

• 0-1 years experience in Cancer Registry
• Certification as Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) active and in good standing
• Remote work experience acceptable with occasional onsite travel for trainings/meetings

Responsabilidades

• Performs Case-finding of Cancer Cases according to CoC and PCR requirements while meeting productivity and accuracy standards.
• Performs Abstraction of Cancer Cases according to CoC and PCR requirements while meeting productivity and accuracy standards.
• Tracks diagnostic and treatment information to ensure complete and accurate abstracts.
• Performs follow-up of analytical cancer cases for the lifetime of the patient.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and security of data at all times.
• Travels onsite for trainings/meetings as needed.
• Submits weekly productivity reports and updates the shared work-list daily.
