Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 2+ years in healthcare finance/insurance verification.
• Experience with insurance authorization and registration techniques.
• Proficiency with Navinet, WebMD, Passport; EPIC Prelude/Cadence training preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams from referral through treatment and follow-up.
• Interact with insurance companies to ensure proper payments; advocate for patients on billing issues.
• Advise patients about anticipated costs and financial responsibilities.
• Determine coverage, limits, and financial responsibility with providers.
• Access and document information in the EHR to support authorization workflows.
• Coordinate with pre-certification/insurance teams across billing entities.
• Provide information to the Single Case Agreement Team for non-par plans.
