InterVarsity Press is seeking a Campus Staff Minister for Silicon Valley / Community College Ministry. The position is remote within the USA and full-time, focused on building witnessing communities on college and university campuses.

The role involves leading campus ministries, recruiting and developing student and faculty leaders, and partnering with national staff to advance InterVarsity’s mission. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for empowering diverse campus

Qualifications

• Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Doctrinal Basis and Purpose Statement.
• Abide by InterVarsity’s Code of Conduct.
• Belief and behave consonantly with InterVarsity’s Human Sexuality Theological Paper.
• Affirm and behave consonantly with InterVarsity’s Women in Ministry Statement of Affidation.
• Bachelor’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a four-year campus.
• A minimum of an Associate’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a two-year campus or a community college.
• Strong interpersonal skills (including ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Pursue a vibrant relationship with the triune God through Scripture, prayer, and worship.
• Develop self-leadership and relational integrity.
• Lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship experiences.
• Set annual goals with teams for growth and leadership development.
• Create, align, and leverage ministry plans, programs, teams, and structures.
• Build leadership teams with spiritual vitality and mission alignment.
• Develop and execute plans to achieve annual goals and adjust as needed.
• Mobilize students and faculty to engage networks and start new witnessing communities.
