Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation is seeking a Remote Janitor to perform laundry, cleaning and related duties across remote housing and facilities at Red Dog Mine in Alaska. This role requires travel between camps, a 12-hour shift pattern, and adherence to safety policies while operating cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors and surfaces, restocking supplies, handling waste, and assisting with dormitory-style housing needs in a remote camp environment.

Qualifications

• This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and practical knowledge of commercial cleaning.
• Experience with cleaning equipment and commercial housekeeping is preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment checks including background and drug tests.
• Must be a NANA Shareholder living in the NANA Region, per contract requirements.
• Ability to work as part of a team and make quick decisions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, vacuums, mops, restocks hallways, offices, kitchens, laundry rooms and rest areas.
• Operates cleaning equipment and uses appropriate solutions for tasks.
• Removes trash and disposes of waste properly.
• Restocks sleeping rooms and bathrooms with towels, sheets and blankets.
• May perform light maintenance and change bulbs as needed.
• Support safety programs and travel between camps as required.
• Notify supervisor if safety or sanitation standards are not met.
