Call Center Agent, Customer Care

Location: Remote US, must have experience.

Start: May 12, 2025

Type: Long Term Temporary

Shift: Must be available for an 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday 7:00 am CT to 7:00 pm (Central Time), Saturday mornings 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (Central Time) could also be required.

Training: Mandatory 6-week, on video.

Rate: $15.50/hour max pay W2

Basic Qualifications
  • 1 year experience in an office environment
  • 1 year experience using a computer with Microsoft Windows PC applications
  • 6 months of work from home environment
  • High school diploma or GED (Preferences)
Responsibilities
  • Handle calls from members regarding payments, policy information, or claims, requiring insurance industry knowledge of life insurance and annuities
  • Designated quiet area to complete calls while working from home
  • Provide front-line customer service to policyholders, beneficiaries, agents, and internal customers
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and meet service standards
  • Handle 75-100 calls daily
  • Communicate effectively and professionally to resolve questions and issues
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance products, services, and processes
  • Collaborate with management or team members to address service issues
  • At least 6 months of experience in attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability
  • At least 6 months of professional communication experience

New hires must have a working device (cell phone or tablet) for 2-Factor Authentication.

All new hires must complete and demonstrate proficiency in our Call Center training classes.

Must pass drug screening and background checks including education and employment verification.

Remote Working and Technology Requirements
  • Company-provided equipment, responsible for care and security
  • Own high-speed internet (≥50 Mbps), hard-wired Ethernet connection required
  • Wi-Fi, mobile, wireless, and public internet connections are forbidden
Technical Performance and Issue Tracking
  • Monitor technical issues and downtime; consistent availability is crucial
  • Follow technical support protocols; recurring issues may change remote status to onsite
Remote Workspace Standards
  • Dedicated, professional, and quiet workspace
  • Consistent location unless prior approval for change
  • Minimize distractions and background noise
