Call Center Agent, Customer Care

Location: Remote US, must have experience.

Start: May 12, 2025

Type: Long Term Temporary

Shift: Must be available for an 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday 7:00 am CT to 7:00 pm (Central Time), Saturday mornings (rotating) 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (Central Time) could also be required.

Training: Mandatory 6-week video training.

Rate: $15.50/hour max pay W2

Basic Qualifications
  • 1 year experience in an office environment
  • 1 year experience using a computer with Microsoft Windows PC applications
  • 6 months of work from home environment
  • High school diploma or GED (Preferences)
Responsibilities
  • Previous insurance industry experience involving life insurance and annuity policies, handling calls from members regarding payments, policy info, or claims
  • Designated quiet area to complete calls while working from home
  • Providing front-line phone customer service to policyholders, beneficiaries, agents, and internal customers
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and striving to meet service standards
  • Handling between 75 to 100 calls daily
  • Communicating effectively and professionally with internal and external customers to resolve questions and issues
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of the insurance industry and team processes
  • Collaborating with management or team members to proactively address service issues
  • 6+ months of experience requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability
  • 6+ months of professional communication (oral/written) experience

New hires must have a working device (cell phone or tablet) for 2-Factor Authentication.

All new hires must successfully complete our Call Center training and demonstrate proficiency.

Must pass a drug screen and background check, including education and employment verification.

Remote Working and Technology Requirements

Employees must meet all remote work requirements, including a dedicated workspace and technology standards.

Technology
  • NTT DATA provides a computer and headset for remote work.
  • Employees are responsible for equipment care and security, must return equipment upon separation.
  • High-speed internet (50 Mbps or above) with a wired Ethernet connection required.
Technical Performance and Issue Tracking
  • Management monitors technical issues and downtime; consistent availability is critical.
  • Adherence to technical support procedures is required.
  • Connectivity issues may affect remote status.
Remote Workspace

Must have a professional, dedicated workspace with minimal distractions, used consistently unless prior approval for change is obtained.
