Remote - Call Center Customer Service Representative
Medicaid Member Support – Tier 1
For The State of Iowa

Requirements: Reside in Iowa, within an hour of Des Moines.

Compensation & Benefits: $18/hour, paid training, equipment provided, full-time with benefits, career growth opportunities, employee discount program, and full benefits from day one.

Role Overview
  • Serve as the initial contact for inquiries from Iowa Medicaid Program recipients and affiliates.
  • Provide telephone support to applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees.
  • Document enrollment requests and status changes accurately.
  • Input application data into a web-based system for telephone applications.
  • Maintain proficiency in Iowa Family Care rules and related policies.
  • Provide clear and accurate information based on program requirements.
Minimum Requirements
  • Call center experience in customer service and quality monitoring.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities with ongoing feedback.
  • High School diploma or GED; background check required.
  • Reliable internet and ability to work with diverse populations.
Ideal Candidate Traits
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Adherence to schedules and policies.
  • Excellent typing, grammar, and computer navigation skills.
  • Understanding of policies and excellent phone etiquette.
