Job summary

Special Interest Answering Service is a long-standing family-owned company that answers calls for property managers, contractors, medical offices, and more. You will work from home on a set schedule, with training in Schererville, Indiana, and 24/7 coverage to support clients.

Starting pay is $18–$20 per hour, with $3 extra for midnight or covering shifts and $1.50 extra for bilingual Spanish/English operators.

Qualifications

• Typing at least 40 words per minute with 92% accuracy.
• Willingness to work weekends/evenings/holidays and remotely from home.
• Must live in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Arizona, Mississippi or Alabama.
• Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls for client accounts and follow each account's instructions.
• Take clear, complete messages and type them accurately while the caller is talking.
• Recognize urgent calls and dispatch per the account's protocol.
• Stay calm and professional with callers who are stressed, upset, or in a hurry.
• Keep caller information confidential.
• Work with your supervisor when a call doesn't fit the script.
