Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Mesa, AZ, is seeking a CAD Technician II to support engineers and planners by translating technical notes and drawings into documentable solutions. The role emphasizes drafting construction documents, file organization, and timely plan submissions within a collaborative team.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years CAD standards experience (land development preferred), and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Three or more (3+) years of experience using CAD standards, preferably in the land development industry.
• Equivalent of computer certificate for CAD Class Training.
• Must have experience with AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
• Experience with computer applications and software such as, Microsoft office, etc.

Responsibilities

• Draft plans/mark-ups for the purpose of creating construction documents.
• Review all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting for review.
• Revise plans according to client, manager, or reviewer comments.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining all CAD or CAD related files for clients, town, or county intake.
• Delegate responsibilities for submitting plans on time.
• Obtain work assignments of either specific design elements to CAD drafting duties from project manager with allocated budgets.
• Perform non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions under minimum supervision.
