micro1 is seeking a highly skilled CAD and mechanical-design expert for an AI training project. You will translate dimensioned schematics into precise 3D solid models, using Python to drive geometry and exporting STEP files. This contractor role is fully remote, ~15 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming ability for CAD tasks.
• Hands-on experience with 3D CAD or computational geometry.
• Ability to interpret dimensioned engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong 3D spatial reasoning and geometric precision.
• Experience validating or troubleshooting CAD models.

Responsabilités

• Interpret dimensions and geometric relationships from technical drawings.
• Translate 2D schematics into accurate 3D mechanical models.
• Decompose complex components into appropriate geometric features.
• Model curved profiles, sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers, and Boolean operations.
• Use Python to generate or automate CAD geometry.
• Export valid, watertight solid models in formats such as STEP.
• Validate dimensions, topology, volume, surface area, and inertia properties.
• Diagnose subtle differences between expected and generated geometry.
