Job summary
Leidos is seeking a CAD/GIS Technician to support environmental investigations, remediation, engineering design, construction, and site restoration for government clients. The successful candidate will prepare and revise complex drawings, figures, maps, and graphics using AutoCAD/Civil 3D software.
You will work with engineers, environmental scientists, geologists, GIS professionals, and field personnel to translate technical information into accurate project drawings and documentation while
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, CAD, Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
- 5+ years' experience using CAD software to develop and revise drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; ability to interpret engineering drawings and field notes.
- Knowledge of drafting practices: layers, scales, annotations, symbols, references.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed engineering drawings, plans, and profiles using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Convert sketches, field notes, survey data, and GIS data into accurate CAD drawings.
- Maintain CAD standards, templates, layers, and reference files.
- Perform quality checks for accuracy and compliance with drafting standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, GIS personnel, and field teams to verify deliverables.
