Job summary

Rozell Design Group in the Greater St. Louis area is seeking a contracting Drafter who can produce detailed architectural and interior design drawings from concept sketches using AutoCAD and Revit.

This remote, work-from-home role involves converting concepts into precise construction documents and coordinating with project designers and managers to keep deliverables on schedule. You will organise drawing sets, maintain documentation, and contribute to layout, measurements, and design detailing.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD tools and drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit) for creating accurate technical drawings and plan sets.
• At least 5+ years of experience drafting interior and/or architectural drawings.
• Strong understanding of architectural and interior design principles, building layouts, and construction documentation.
• Ability to interpret design sketches, specifications, and building codes and translate them into clear, detailed drawings that meet project standards.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects, maintain drawing files, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with designers, project managers, and other team members on-site.
• Relevant education such as an associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting, architectural technology, or a related field; comparable experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Drafting detailed architectural and interior drawings from concepts and sketches.
• Update and revise plans based on feedback while maintaining document control.
• Coordinate with project team members and organize drawing sets.
• Maintain file documentation and support the design process through layout, measurements, and detailing.
• Participate in project meetings and help ensure deliverables are completed on schedule with high precision.
