Job summary

Boulay’s Client Accounting and Advisory Services team seeks a Staff Accountant to support multiple client engagements. You will perform diversified accounting tasks, including AP/AR and payroll processing under supervision, and collaborate with Boulay departments to complete projects.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's in Accounting with 2+ years of experience, strong MS Office and GAAP knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Accounting is required.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of the general ledger, reconciliations and month-end close.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to drive client and team meetings.
• Ability to creatively solve problems and analyze client data.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transaction accounting activities (sales, bank, reconciliations).
• Handle accounts payable and receivable management.
• Process payroll under supervision of engagement leader.
• Prepare or assist with complex sales and use tax returns.
• Prepare or assist in financial statements and 1099 filings.
• Maintain chart of accounts and monitor fixed assets.
• Communicate status updates and potential issues to team/Partner.
• Ensure regulatory and firm compliance across engagements.
