Job summary

WestEd is seeking a part-time Authorized CA Teaching Pyramid Coach to support training and coaching across California. The role is remote with occasional in-person visits and up to 20% travel. Candidates must be authorized CA Teaching Pyramid Coaches and hold a high school diploma (Bachelor's/Master's preferred).

The position emphasizes adult learning strategies and reflective coaching to childcare providers, with rigorous documentation and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized as a CA Teaching Pyramid Coach.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's or Master's preferred.
• Three+ years of work experience in early learning and care.
• Experience training or coaching adults and teams in the CA Teaching Pyramid.
• Preferred experience with preschool age children, infants, and toddlers.

Responsibilities

• Co-train the CA Teaching Pyramid Modules virtually or in person.
• Provide CA Teaching Pyramid coaching to assigned sites.
• Support three to five on-site visits per training cycle.
• Each visit includes a one-hour observation and a reflective meeting.
• Facilitate Reflective Practice Cadres for coaches as needed.
• Communicate regularly with CA Teaching Pyramid trainers.
• Create a positive learning environment using adult-learning strategies.
• Submit all required paperwork accurately and punctually.
• Develop and maintain communication with WestEd staff and partners.
• May travel to designated sites up to 20%.
