Job summary

CDF is seeking a mid-level associate with 3–8 years of employer-side California employment litigation experience. You will own matters from inception to resolution, handling both single-plaintiff and class actions, with the ability to manage matters independently and collaborate across the firm.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of California employment litigation experience (employer-side only).
• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• Experience with single-plaintiff and/or class action defense.
• Stable tenure history with no unexplained short stints.
• Sound judgment and collaborative client service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Own matters from start to finish, managing employment litigation with team support.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery with strategic execution.
• Take and defend depositions and represent clients at hearings and mediations.
• Handle agency matters before state and federal agencies including DLSE and NLRB.
• Provide compliance guidance and day-to-day employer advisory support.
• Collaborate with partners and associates across California offices.
