Job summary

Shorebird is building a Flutter engine and Dart runtime fork, with an ARM64 interpreter, and we operate as a small all‑remote team. You’ll own our fork, its build, maintenance and in‑production capabilities, touching code that affects millions of devices.

This is a builder seat with ownership; you’ll design and ship new engine features in C++, collaborate directly with the founder, and influence a fast‑moving project at scale while enjoying clear impact and equity.

Qualifications

• Strong production experience in C++ for large codebases.
• Proven ability to own features end to end: design, implement, ship and support.
• Comfort with building and maintaining complex systems and build infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build new features in a large C++ codebase (Flutter engine + Dart runtime forks).
