Job summary

Ensono is seeking a highly skilled C++ expert to join our engineering team as a production-focused engineer. The role emphasizes design, development, and maintenance of high-performance C++ systems in a remote-capable environment across the United States.

You will mentor peers, drive architectural decisions, and lead best practices throughout the software lifecycle, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a Linux-based development environment.

Qualifications

• Expert understanding of dynamic memory allocation and RAII.
• Experience diagnosing memory leaks and pointer issues.
• Familiarity with memory allocators and memory pools.
• Strong C++ threading model knowledge.
• Experience with lock-free/wait-free patterns.
• Identify race conditions, deadlocks, and thread-safety issues.
• Expert-level CMake for cross-platform builds.
• Proficiency with Docker for development and deployment.
• Design/maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Advanced GDB usage for debugging and post-mortem analysis.
• Valgrind tools for memory/thread analysis.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS or related field; equivalent exp.
• Soft skills: problem-solving, communication, teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ applications.
• Own critical system components with focus on reliability and performance.
• Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards across the team.
• Define and maintain CMake-based build systems for multi-platforms.
• Maintain Docker-based containerisation workflows for CI/CD.
• Diagnose issues with GDB/Valgrind; drive performance profiling.
• Collaborate with Linux-based development teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical growth.
• Participate in design discussions, planning, and estimation.
