Job summary

Ensono is seeking a highly skilled C++ Software Engineer to join a remote role in the United States. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ systems, taking ownership of critical components, and guiding architectural decisions.

You will mentor peers, lead code reviews, and uphold best practices across the software lifecycle while working in a Linux-based environment with CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts in Python and shell.

Qualifications

• Expert understanding of dynamic memory allocation, RAII, smart pointers (unique_ptr, shared_ptr, weak_ptr)
• Experience diagnosing memory leaks, dangling pointers, buffers and overflows
• Familiarity with custom allocators and memory pool strategies
• Strong command of the C++ threading model (std::thread, std::mutex, std::atomic, std::condition_variable)
• Experience with lock-free and wait-free programming patterns
• Identify and resolve race conditions and deadlocks
• Expert-level experience with CMake for cross-platform build configuration
• Proficiency with Docker for containerised development and deployment environments
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Advanced use of GDB for low-level debugging and post-mortem analysis
• Proficiency with Valgrind (Memcheck, Helgrind, Callgrind) for memory and thread analysis
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
• Equivalent industry experience will be considered
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills; independent worker and team player

We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedC++ Expert Engineerwith 10+ yearsyearsof hands-on, production-level experiencetojoin our engineering team. In this role,thecandidatewilldesign, develop, andmaintainhigh-performance, production-grade C++ systems.The candidatewill play a key technical leadership role — driving architectural decisions, mentoring peers, and championing best practices across the software development lifecycle.

• Take ownership of critical system components with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance

• Design and implement solutions involving advanced memory management and concurrent/multithreaded architecture

• Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices across the team

• Define and maintain CMake -based build systems and manage multi-platform build configurations

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Docker -based containerisation workflows

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues using tools such as GDB and Valgrind ; lead performance profiling and tuning initiatives

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a Linux -based development environment

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $130,000 to 150,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
