Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a senior C++ engineer for fully remote contract work to design and optimize high-performance data pipelines, annotation tooling, and evaluation systems used in AI labs. You will contribute across production-grade C++ codebases, tooling, and backend services, collaborating with data, research, and engineering teams to scale model training and evaluation.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional experience writing production-grade C++.
• Expert in efficient binary serialization formats.
• Experience implementing zero-copy data exchange protocols for high-speed pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance C++ systems for AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows.
• Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for large-scale data annotation, validation, and quality control.
• Improve reliability, performance, and safety across existing C++ codebases.
• Identify bottlenecks and edge cases in data and system behavior and implement scalable fixes.
• Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to support model training and evaluation at scale.
• Participate in synchronous design reviews to iterate on architecture and implementation decisions.
