Job summary

Kelly is seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst for a 100% remote contract (6 months, with extension potential) to lead requirements for complex projects across HR interfaces, benefit calculations, regulatory updates, and API integrations.

You will partner with business and IT, gather and document requirements, create process diagrams, wireframes, and reports, and ensure minimal change requests while adapting to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years documenting software requirements.
• Experience with interface files (XML, API).
• Ability to capture requirements with minimal handholding.
• Experience with large, complex in house-built systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements management for large projects and client implementations.

Title: Sr. Business Systems Analyst - 100% remote

Job Type: Contract (6 months to start with very good potential for extension)

Location: 100% remote

What you will be doing:

• Our client is a $21 billion global leader in claims and risk management solutions with over 33,000 employees globally and recognized as America’s Greatest Workplaces. They help other companies process and administer Property & Casualty and Workers Compensation claims.
• The Sr. Business Systems Analyst will be working on various projects that could include their standard flat files (HR Interfaces, ATP), Benefit Calculations, Statutory Regulations, reverse file feeds, API, etc.
• Leads the requirements management efforts for large projects to include new client implementations and large strategic projects; devises and executes a requirements management plan for assigned projects; and takes ownership of the business analysis role throughout the project.
• Identifies and understands stakeholders; initiates and facilitates meetings and discussions with stakeholders as appropriate.
• Works with project managers, project requestors, operations, business representatives, IT representatives and clients to ensure complete understanding of software requirements; provides business related IT knowledge to clients and business representatives during the requirements management process.
• Produces project requirements documentation, including written documents, process diagrams, report mock-ups, wire frames and other documentation as required, using standard templates
• A Business Systems Analyst who knows how to capture all/most of the requirements and not have multiple change requests.
• Someone who knows how to dig in and learn new systems with nominal documentation provided, in a very fast paced environment.

Experience:

At least 8 years of experience documenting software/systems requirements to include:

• Software requirements gathering/elicitation
• Software requirements/specifications documentation
• Experience with application enhancements (screen or backend)
• Experience with Interface files (fixed-width, delimited, xml, API)
• Liaison between business and IT, translating business requirements into functional/technical requirements for use by a development team
• Need someone who can jump with little handholding and know how to ask the "right" questions to learn the system side.
• Experience with extremely large, complex in house-built systems will be extremely helpful.
• Tool Experience: Experience with either Jira or ADO preferred.
• Proven ability to thrive in fast paced environment with quickly changing priorities.
• The candidates need to be self-directed individuals that can take the initiative in a fast-paced, somewhat unstructured environment.
• Claims knowledge is a plus but not required
