Job summary

Penn Foster Group is seeking a Business System Analyst to bridge business and technology, driving analysis, design, and continuous improvement of systems and processes supporting student success.

You will partner with Student Services, Admissions, Academic Ops, Finance, Marketing, and Technology to turn business needs into scalable technology solutions, optimize processes, and support enterprise applications across SIS, LMS, and data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Education Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or related role.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements.
• Strong understanding of business process analysis and process improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to understand operational challenges, objectives, and system needs.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design scalable solutions across SIS, LMS, and data platforms.
• Develop test plans and coordinate user acceptance testing with stakeholders.
• Create and maintain business process documentation and user guides.
• Champion self-service reporting with PowerBI, Tableau, and Business Objects.
