Factual Data is seeking a Business System Analyst to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams, translating requirements into detailed specifications. The role emphasizes data source mapping, data flow understanding, and SME guidance on evolving product portfolios.

Responsibilities include documenting requirements, leading design discussions, and maintaining the data source inventory. Remote-based with occasional in-person events in Pittsburgh, PA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
• Able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers and sales teams.
• Adaptable and flexible with changing priorities.
• Familiarity with AI-powered tools and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document comprehensive requirements.
• Research existing system functionality, database structures, and data flows to inform solutions.
• Own and maintain the data source inventory and map products to data sources.
• Lead solution design and translate complex requests into technical requirements.
• Create detailed, system-specific functional requirements and documentation.
• Lead requirement walkthroughs with IT teams to ensure alignment.
• Act as liaison between sales, customers, business stakeholders, and tech teams.
• Write and run SQL queries across databases to validate requirements and support QA.
• Identify issues early and propose solutions to prevent delays.
• Maintain project documentation through the SDLC.
