CDPcommunity in Boston, MA is seeking a Business Intelligence Associate for a full-time remote role. You will transform raw data into actionable insights to drive fundraising strategy, marketing performance, and client success, building reporting products and data pipelines.

Under the BI Manager, you will learn to translate BI needs into technical requirements, support data validation, documentation, and user support, while growing expertise in CDP's data tools and platforms.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data reporting, data operations, or a related role.
• Some experience with SQL and an interest in developing stronger proficiency with relational databases.
• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Amazon Quicksight, or similar platforms.
• Interest in learning data orchestration, data governance, metadata, ETL/ELT concepts, or data warehouse practices.
• Strong logical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Strong attention to detail, consistency, accuracy, and quality.
• Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn new data and BI tools, platforms, and models.

Responsibilities

• Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Analysis: Support the maintenance and improvement of interactive reporting products using Tableau; Evaluate and use BI platforms like Amazon Quick Sight, Power BI, and others; Analyze marketing strategy and program performance with reporting tools; Validate data integrity and accuracy; Gather feedback to improve reporting products and UX.
• Data Development and Execution: Translate BI needs into technical requirements for CDP’s data products; Maintain and improve sections of the codebase for BI data activation pipelines; Use SQL to support reporting, data validation, and data accessibility; Learn data orchestration, governance, and metadata practices; Identify opportunities to streamline manual tasks.
• Data Accessibility and Literacy: Support internal teams and external clients in accessing data; Update documentation and training materials; Provide responsive support on data platforms; Improve clarity, usability, and consistency of BI resources.
