Job summary

Boston Data Co. is seeking a Senior BI Consultant with 5+ years in analytics engineering to design and deliver data products for clients using the modern data stack.

You’ll ingest data from multiple sources, transform it into clean models, and build dashboards that reveal insights. Collaborate with clients to translate business needs into scalable solutions, leverage dbt and cloud warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), and explore AI-driven analytics while staying current with tooling

Qualifications

• Expertise in SQL (including window functions)
• Knowledge of data modeling best practices with medallion-style environments
• Strong dbt experience (certification preferred)
• Ability to create insightful dashboards in Sigma, Looker, Tableau or equivalents
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery or Redshift
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
• Experience with EL/ETL tooling such as Fivetran, dlt, Airbyte

Responsibilities

• Create end-to-end data products for clients including data ingestion into data warehouses
• Transform raw data into clean, flexible models using transformation tools like dbt
• Model data in BI tools and build dashboards
• Create AI-driven solutions leveraging the data foundation
• Communicate and iterate with clients
• Perform ad-hoc analyses
• Research latest data tooling trends
